Morpho origami classic

REF: MO25CLB1

EDITION: 1 of 1

“Morpho Origami” is a compelling piece that urges collective action for real change. Originally created for Human Rights Watch, it explores themes of capitalism, consumerism, and environmental degradation.

Bran uses a deactivated AK-47 rifle, adorned with real butterflies to symbolise nature's resilience against man-made destruction. Origami butterflies crafted from American dollar bills highlight consumerism as a driving force behind war, conflict, and pollution.

The laser-cut magazine is filled with symbolic materials—oil, coral, cherry blossoms, wheat—each representing humanity's impact on the planet. For example, coral signifies dying seas, cherry blossoms the fragility of nature, and wheat the degradation of organic systems through over-farming.

This powerful work raises critical questions about humanity's role in shaping our future. It serves as a reminder that change is both necessary and collective: "For everything to change, we need everyone.
